Mamawmatawa Hawks earn championship
M.H.E.C Sr. Boys basketball team from Constance Lake First Nation completed a perfect season with a strong finish at the NEOAA championship tournament in Iroquois Falls on Feb. 28.
The Hawks beat Hearst high school in the semi final, giving them a place in the finals against CITE des Jeunes from Kapuskasing.
The team played with poise and focus as they fought their way through a deficit in the first quarter. Team captain Conrad Martin continued to lead the way and finished the game with 26 points. Congratulations to all players!
