Fort Severn
I look around and see what used to be there.
But it’s been removed, it’s so much different.
I close my eyes remembering what it was like.
The smell of pine trees, birds singing back and forth.
After I open my eyes it’s gone.
All I hear is the sound of cars honking.
The pollution from factories, cars spread all over.
The trees have been cut down, birds are still here but, don’t sing anymore.
The river is still there but, a bridge is built over it leading to another town.
No one is allowed to hunt.
There’s barely any fish.
It’s just not the same as it used to be.
