The Transportation Safety Board has concluded its investigation into a Wasaya Airways flight which slid off the runway in Kasabonika Lake Feb. 9.
The investigation found Wasaya flight WSG937, a Beech 1900D, was concluding its final approach from Wunnumin Lake to Kasabonika in a strong cross-wind.
During the landing, the aircraft ran off the side of the runway, incurring substantial damage to the engines. The aircraft was stuck in deep snow and the runway was closed.
The plane was carrying 15 people, including 13 passengers, at the time of the incident.
