Police are investigating a July 10 death in Deer Lake First Nation in which foul play is suspected.
Joey Crowe, 27, was pronounced dead at the local nursing station when Nishnawbe Aski Police Service officers arrived. Another male was at the nursing station being treated for injuries. Nielson Meekis, 27, was flown to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre for further treatment.
Police have charged Jason Miller, 26, of Deer Lake with attempted murder in connection with the injuries sustained by Meekis.
Police suspect foul play in the death of Crowe and are continuing to investigate the incident.
