A vehicle collided with a hydro pole knocking out power to the entire community of Pikankigum July 2.
At about 5 a.m., Pikangikum Police received a report of a pickup truck driving erratically through the community.
Pikangikum Police and OPP officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but it turned away from them, according to officers.

Officers continued to patrol the community, looking for the truck.
According to police, the vehicle was located several minutes later where it was found to have collided with a hydro pole, resulting in a power outage to the entire community of Pikangikum.
Police said the occupants of the truck – including its 12-year-old driver – had fled from the scene.
The vehicle had been taken from the pre-teen’s residence, according to police.
Only one of the vehicle’s 14 passengers – which included three 10 year olds, four 12 year olds, three 13 year olds, three 14 year olds and one 21 year old – was injured.
The investigation is still ongoing and charges are pending against the driver of the truck.
