A community group in Sioux Lookout has launched an Indian residential school handbook on healing and reconciliation.
Starting to Talk: A Guide for Communities on Healing and Reconciliation from the Legacy of Indian Residential Schools is available free of charge from the Sioux Lookout Community Coalition for Healing and Reconciliation.
The handbook is a guide for communities on how to engage in dialogue and activities based around healing and reconciliation from Indian residential schools.
The book was launched at the third national event of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada (TRC) in Halifax Oct. 26-29.
