Cst. Waylon Linklater of Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service (NAPS) has received a donation of hockey equipment and the free use of facilities to coordinate the youth hockey program in Wunnumin Lake First Nation.
The hockey program involves 25 boys and girls aged 6-17 in the community.
This is the second season for Linklater’s hockey program. Play It Again Sports in Thunder Bay donated enough equipment to outfit 15 players when they were informed there wasn’t enough equipment for all the youth interested in participating this year. The Wunnumin Lake band council also donated free ice time for the program.
