Dryden Fibre Canada is currently seeking an individual to join the Dryden Team. The City of Dryden is located on the North shoreline of the Wabigoon Chain of Lakes along the Trans-Canada Highway. It is located midway between Winnipeg, Manitoba and Thunder Bay, Ontario, and is surrounded by wilderness, lakes, and landscapes.

Your Role:

Reporting to the Assistant Maintenance & Engineering Manager your role will be to manage various control systems from design to troubleshooting.

More specifically, you will:

▪Manage the continuing effectiveness and improvement of our electrical, instrumentation and control processes, documentation, and equipment.
▪Support maintenance and operational departments in troubleshooting reoccurring electrical, instrumentation and controls issues and developing solutions.
▪Develop standard operating procedures for electrical and instrumentation tradespeople to improve troubleshooting efficiency and to assist in training tradespeople on new and existing electrical and control systems.
▪Develop and maintain asset maintenance strategies for critical/troubled assets.
▪Design and implement electrical and control systems.
▪Co-ordinate and schedule maintenance, engineering, procurement, construction, and repair activities on electrical and control systems.

Your Profile:

▪5 years’ experience with electrical and control systems or a combination of related post-secondary education and equivalent experience.
▪Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
▪Sound interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work within a team environment.
▪A safety-oriented mindset with the desire to enforce and follow mill safety and environmental policies and procedures.
▪Excellent computer skills.
▪Experience in the Pulp and Paper industry will be considered an asset.
