4-year-old girl dies at Constance Lake First Nation, Hearst OPP helping in the investigation
On September 9, 2017, at approximately 12:45 p.m., officers from the Hearst Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to assist the Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service (NAPS) and Cochrane District Emergency Medical Services (EMS) with a child in medical distress on Constance Lake First Nation.
The female, four years of age, from Constance Lake First Nation, was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
