By: Brent Wesley I've been meaning to add a couple more photos from my trip to New Zealand. I've neglected to do so. But, with unseasonably warm weather and sun right now, I went back to my images, to remember the summer weather of New Zealand. I was there in December, summer over there. It was beautiful. Such a nice clean country, with lots to see. One day, I will return.
By: Brent Wesley My wife and I were in New Zealand for 3 full weeks over the Christmas holidays. It was awesome. This photo was taken at Orakei Korako - The Hidden Valley. It's the site of the BBC documentary, Walking with Dinosaurs. Amazing geothermal activity in this area of New Zealand. Lot's of volcanic activity, hot springs, but pungent with the smell of sulphur. This particular spot was my favourite because of the diversity of the area and the colour.
By: Brent Wesley It was a very interesting feel and look the day I took this picture. The falling snow was beautiful, the sun often sneaked through grey shadowy clouds. The snow glittered in the sun rays. It was interesting.
By: Brent Wesley Had some fun with a loaned 135mm lens from my esteemed colleague Chris Kornacki. Nice fast sharp lens. The only trouble I had was trying to focus on a moving object, in this case, an eagle.
By: Brent Wesley It's not ice, but this image sure invokes feelings of cold weather, which I'm sure is just around the corner. As the work day winds down, the sun is going down as well. This picture was taken at the end of the work day from a window.
By: Brent Wesley My wife, Kanina, is learning beadwork to add to her repertoire of skills, which include quilting, sewing and other crafty stuff. I will need to learn product photography so she can start showcasing her work.
By: Brent Wesley There always seems to be colourful sunsets during the Eagle Lake powwow. Used a filter on this one to get the nice colours of the sunset and a decent exposure of the grass.
