HEALTH SERVICES MANAGER- COMPLEX CARE
1-Permanent Full-Time, Thunder Bay Closing Date: October 15, 2019 @ 3:00 p.m.
The Health Service Manager is responsible for the ongoing development and successful coordination of the Jordan’s Principal Program and managing all other medically complex services. The Health Service manager is responsible for providing management support to the Registered Nurses and personal support staff and other allied health staff, developing and managing operational and service policies and procedures, facilitating ongoing quality improvement initiatives and working collaboratively with agency program staff and management to facilitate integration and coordination with related Services and Programs offered both within and external to the organization. The responsibilities of the Health Service Manager include program planning and development resource utilization management, continuing education, quality assurance, program reporting, and risk management throughout the catchments area, to ensure that the quality operations and coordination of service delivery staff meet the goals and objectives of the Agency.
Qualifications and Requirements:
A Four (4) Year BScN Degree is required. Leadership and management experience is an asset. Three (3) years related program development experience preferably in community based service delivery and multidisciplinary team/program settings; demonstrated experience in program and policy and procedure development; experience and proven skills in the effective planning and coordination of training; experience in coordination of various service delivery operations; combination of related education, work experience, and ability to be a self-starter will be considered; and minimum 1 year previous experience in management. Candidates without the specific education qualifications and where the position does not require certified qualification to practice, but who possess an appropriate combination of experience and other academic qualifications will also be considered.
Hours of Work:
35 hours per week
A satisfactory Criminal Records Search; must possess a valid Standard First Aid/CPR Certificate or be willing to obtain one; must be able to work flexible hours as determined by the Director or designate in relation to service delivery requirements; must possess a valid Ontario Driver’s License and have access to a personal vehicle.
