The Education Partnership Liaison Worker (EPP) is rsponsible. to create, promote, support and implement a parmership and working relations with the provincial schools boards and schools as directed by The Shibogama Education Authority. The main focus is to improve and strengthen the existing partnership arrangement ill supporL1ng and educating the off-reserve secondary sludents. The successful candidate will report to the Shibogama Education Liaison Officer and accountable to Shibogama Education Authority

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

Must work and liaise closely with SESS staff, Shibogama Education Authority, local education directors, and parents to suppolt the students attending provincial schools, and

Must work and liaise closely with provincial school boards, principals, school staff and director of education to improve the sewice agreements, and

Liaise and establish effective partnership between SFNC and provincial school boards, and

Evaluate and monitor the school support services and programs to recommend Improvements, and

Make recommendations and strategies LO the Shibogama Education to ensure effective services to the students.

Provide support to SESS staff in dealing with school and student Issues as it pertains to service agreements, and

Develop proposals to access funding and momtor the projects as directed, and

Assist communities in identifying their prionties in regards to the provision of service agreements, and

Assist the principals in the communities to ensure effective smooth transition of the students to the provincial schools and urban living, and

Prepare updates, briefing notes and presentations for Shibogama Education, and

Provide analysis and updates to the communities on all applicable education policies and regulations affecting the students, and

Participate and attend the NAN EPP meetings as required, and Provide any other duties as directed by Shibogama Education.

Salary: Commensurate with experience & education

Qualifications Required:

Degree/ diploma in education and/or experience in the field of education will be considered

Effective communication skills; fluency in Oji-Cree and English an asset

Experience in Writing proposals

Must be able to travel
