Primary Care Team

The Primary Care Team Chiropodist will work collaborative with the other members of the Primary Care Team, and other Health Services programs, to continually assess current program delivery and services and recommend and participate in new strategies in order to facilitate changes that will enhance patient care. The Primary Care Team Chiropodist is responsible for assessing clients and providing comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of foot disorders and mechanical problems of lower limbs
Qualifications and Requirements: A valid registration with the College of Chiropodists in Ontario as a Chiropodist and a relevant degree in Chiropody. Knowledge and experience working with Aboriginal communities. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary health services team. Candidates without the specific education qualifications and where the position does not require certified qualification to practice, but who possess an appropriate combination of experience and other academic qualifications will also be considered.
Must have: Must possess a Standard First Aid and CPR Certificate or be willing to obtain one; must be able to work flexible hours and provide on-call service; have a valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle; a satisfactory Criminal Records Check; be able to travel as needed; provide evidence of registration with the appropriate regulatory body.
