Good news for Greyhound Bus passengers in northwestern Ontario
Greyhound Canada confirmed bus service along the TransCanada highway between Thunder Bay and Manitoba will not be cut.
Initially, it was announced those bus routes would be terminated as of Dec. 2.
For bus passengers making travel plans for the holidays, Greyhound bus service will continue with two daily trips.
Route frequency reductions were made in southern Ontario to ease some of the financial pressure that the company has been undergoing.
"These measures will ensure there is no outright halt to service along the TransCanada Highway pending the outcome of the federal-provincial-territorial Working group which is due to report in September 2010," according to Greyhound.
Effective January 17, 2010, there will be one daily trip from Thunder Bay towards Sault Ste. Marie, and from Sault Ste. Marie to Thunder Bay.
Contact your local greyhound station to confirm departure and arrival times.

Yes its good news for now... hoping the Greyhound would pull out, and have A new bus line company by Canadians take over, eh why not the First Nations run the bus line just like Wasaya is over seen by First Nation. Would it be something else? The supervisors should be First Nation People. Come on now young Nish-people get that education to fill those positions.
